POSTED OCTOBER 23 2009 BY TTS :) TEA TIME STUDIO works featured @ Casa de América art show (Madrid, 2009)

Creative Grab Bag is a collection of work from artists, illustrators and designers from around the world. Author Ethan Bodnar created over 30 unique tasks and gave each contributor a task that was different from their typical work. The book contains images of each artist’s creative task, typical work, and a biography with a short reflection on their creative process. Together, they capture the spirit of exploration and innovation and challenge readers to break out of their usual work. The book includes both well-known and up-and-coming creatives.
The process of making this book was remarkable. I extend my thanks and gratitude to all the contributing artists, everyone at HOW Books, and friends and family. POSTED SEPTEMBER 7TH 2009 BY TTS :) TEA TIME STUDIO works featured @ Crossover Design Book (by Newwebpick / CYPI) “‘Crossover’ is not only a trendy expression in the international fashion community but has also conquered the design world with its incomparable magnetism. Designers have crossed over from their customary field of expertise to a new design field, and created a sparkling and magnetic feeling by blending elements that either had nothing to do with one another, or at odds and, even completely opposed at times. “Crossover” as it is portrayed in this book, cannot be merely viewed as a fashion concept. Indeed, through the display of hundreds of “blended” pieces, a profound depiction of designers’ attitude vis-à-vis design and their new lifestyle is offered to readers.”
Crossover Design book by NewWebPick and Cypi Press was just announced. I’ve received message that some of my pieces were published as samples so I’m more than happy to hear that! Stay tuned for more news.

Brand Design - the latest issue, on sale now
This issue is devoted to logo and branding, one of our most popular topics. Whether you’re creating a brand identity for a large international company or a friend, few projects are more rewarding than seeing your designs used to boost sales, attract new customers, or revamp a tired-looking image. And logos are used for much more than just business; you can discover more about logo designs for North American sports teams, and then find tips on creating your own sports designs. The issue is packed with expert advice too, including Form, BB/Saunders, and Début. We speak to one of the UK’s biggest branding agencies, Lambie-Nairn, about their work with mega-brands including O2, Expedia and EA games. While the Tea Time Studio team discuss their innovative work for clients as diverse as hotels, musicians and eco-friendly manufacturers.

TEA TIME works @ cross-culturalbranding.com
Again the Iori Hotel project designed by TT was featured, now at Cross Cultural Branding, I hope the amazing Iori Hotel gets lots of visits now!
... I have not yet visited the place. But it is in my checklist next time I visit Europe... I visited the area a long time ago and can tell that the art of living, the majestic nature as well as the food quality (southern French, Italian inspired & Spanish) was absolutely fantastic.
Iori Hotel seems to show a smart combination between the fashionable "LOHAS" style so popular now in Japan. Each suite is named according to a major Japanese city. Other rooms are named according the Japanese name of a kind of wood. But the deco & woody texture as well as structure, puts you back in the warm European chalet ambiance expected in this location. The introduction of neo-Japanese culture seems to be existing in the details, such as bed sheets, stools, chairs & probably some non-invading techno devices. Apparently the owners went crazy on neo-Japanese furniture and decided to open a furniture shop associated with the hotel.
The food seems to be 100% Japanese & the choice of branding may have been decided around the choice of cuisine this chalet provides.
The Branding has been created by the talented Tea Time Studio (Barcelona, Spain) ...
This is an interesting creative network. I am really enjoying uploading all the projects since, to me, Behance is the best creative community network around today.
AND, the project for Iori Hotel was selected from all the portfolios by the Design Chief to be featured at the home page resulting in hundreds of visits!
This is an interesting Editorial based in Barcelona and most of all about design, art, etc, were Tea Time had a feature recently.
I am also looking forward to be part of their upcoming new books.
Please check it out!
